About ARKTOS

Best for: groups of friends or multi-generational families, with active families a close second.

ARKTOS is a 42-metre custom gulet-motor sailor built in 2004, based in Athens and built to carry up to 11 guests across five cabins in genuine comfort. Three double cabins and two twin cabins all have private facilities, smart TVs, individual Bluetooth speakers, a safe, and a mini fridge, giving everyone a proper private space to retreat to after long days on the water.

A crew of six, led by Captain Panos Georgakopoulos, whose 14 years in charter yachting follows a decade in the commercial navy, means guests are in experienced hands from the moment they board. Chef Victor Antonatos runs the galley solo, designing menus around guest preferences, from modern Greek and Mediterranean to French and Asian influences, with matched wine pairings. On the water, two tenders, SUPs, a kayak, water skis, wakeboard, kneeboard, banana, tubes, snorkelling equipment, and fishing gear keep active groups occupied across the Greek islands throughout the season.

Client 1 - Thank you, we truly had a dream vacation of a lifetime. The water sports were so fun for the family - and chef Kostas's food so good - that we spent most of our time on the boat and all of our dinners, although we still loved going onto the islands for sightseeing and gelato. I really appreciate all of your planning! The Arktos was the perfect boat for our family and a fortuitous replacement!

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
