About BABAC

Best for: families and friend groups of up to eight, with couples travelling together a close second.

Babac is a 2018 Lagoon catamaran sailing Fiji's islands with a three-person crew: Captain Ish Alexander, whose 12 years captaining charter vessels in the Caribbean now transfers to the South Pacific, and Stewardess Anais Moyen, raised in Tahiti and bringing four years of sole-stewardess service to every guest interaction. That combination of deep sailing experience and high-level hospitality sets the tone aboard.

Four cabins sleep eight guests comfortably: a master cabin, two double cabins, and a fourth that converts from a double into two singles, giving groups flexibility on how they share the space. Fiji's protected waters and reef passages are Babac's natural playground. On quieter days, a floating inflatable pool and individual floating chairs let guests settle into the water without going anywhere at all. Three reviews may be modest in number, but the boat is crewed, ready, and pointed at one of the world's most rewarding sailing destinations.

February 2023 - French PolynesiaMay 2026

My Client gave a very good report on his charter on Babac. He would like to know when Babac might be in the Tua Motus in the summer for another charter on board.

December 2022 - French PolynesiaMay 2026

BABAC, the crew and itinerary were fantastic. Captain Thibault and Raven were so welcoming and inclusive and Chef Nina-Sue - wow some great meals

The whole family had one of our best family vacations ever, thanks to the yacht, Thibault, Raven and Nina-Sue.

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
