About MATTEA

Best for: groups of friends or couples seeking a high-performance, eco-conscious charter, with multi-generational families a close second.

MATTEA is a brand-new 2025 Sunreef power catamaran, 23.8 metres, and her defining quality is the marriage of serious performance with a genuine sustainability ethos, rare at this level. Based in Athens, she accommodates up to eight guests across four ensuite cabins: a master with a king-size bed, two VIP cabins with queen-size beds, and a twin that converts to a double.

A crew of five, led by Captain Julien Braconnier, a Master 500GT holder with a background at the Yacht Club de Monaco and transoceanic voyages to his name, means guests are in exceptionally capable hands. First Mate Mathieu Bronner brings offshore sailing credentials and a firefighter's calm under pressure, while an executive chef rounds out a team built to deliver both safety and comfort. The water-toy inventory is genuinely impressive: two Seabob F9s, a Sea-Doo jet ski, a SiFly eFoil, kitesurf kit, wakeboard, SUP, and a towable for three, so active guests will never run short of options across the Greek islands.

Guest reviews

Thank you, Mattea crew, for a nice week.
You have a good eye for all the details. Impeccable service. Christmas eve was great. You were able to give both the children and adults the home Christmas feeling, which is impressive given the fact that we're on board a boat.
Great Chef! Good food.
Safe manoeuvring of the boat and good knowledge about local areas.
Boat is great. Nice interior, small improvements
suggested for the Captain.

No Problems to report. We plan the next trip.
Crew is good!

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
